Women’s rugby has come a long way and it continues to grow. A great way to learn and play rugby is by participating in the Ontario Women’s League this summer with the Yeomen Women’s RFC.

The Yeomen Women’s RFC is:

• the only independent women’s club to participate in competitive play in Ontario
• founded on principles of fair play, player development and the opportunity to meet those with the same athletic interests
• lots of fun and a great place to make friends that last a lifetime.

The YWRFC fields two teams; Senior Women and Development and we are looking for new players, 16 yrs and older, to grow these teams.

YWRFC highlights include; players on the Senior National team, Senior and U19 Provincial Women team past and present and most recently Brooke Hilditch captaining the National 7’s team participating in Hong Kong. Also opportunities for younger players at representative levels - U19, TRU and Ontario. 

Our Head Coach Jay Shaw is also the current head coach for the Glenview Park S.S Girls and is the Rugby Coordinator for their Junior & Senior boys. Jay is presently the Ontario Senior Women’s Assistant Coach, the McMaster Varsity Women’s Rugby Assistant Coach.

Playing rugby is fun. Whatever your skill level and interest in the game, the YWRFC offer a terrific environment for you. Join us and be part of the legacy.
