U19 Kudos

This is a little note written by Parissa regarding the last U-19 game:

The final score of the game was 22-0 for the Barbs BUT that score does not reflect the fact that our girls outplayed them by a mile.  So much so that the Barbs' coaches told me (and their own team) that they may have won the game by scoring, but that they were outperformed on the field by a team that only had 12 players (by the way, the Barbs fielded a full 15 and even made a few substitutions in the second half -- no wonder they scored 22 points, they have a three person overlap the whole game!).  Our team was inspirational and I must admit that there were a couple of times when I thought I would start crying because I was so proud of our U19 players.  They played with heart, maturity, respect for another and perseverance.  This is all in light of the fact that seven of them arrive at Fletchers only a few minutes before kick-off and we were all scrabbling a bit beforehand.  A continued commitment to fitness and more practices together will only make this strong team stronger.  Kudos to Chloe, Stephanie, Amanda Henderson and Hanieh for exceptional work.
