The Yeomen Women’s RFC and the Toronto Lions RFC Women's team are pleased to announce their merger, effective immediately for the 2010 season. The two teams are excited to join their resources and form The Yeomen Lions RFC.
 

The Yeomen Women’s RFC was founded in 1992 and has been competing in the Ontario Rugby Union (ORU) for the past 18 years. The Toronto Lions Women’s team was first formed in 1997, part of the Toronto Lions RFC and has been competing in the Toronto Rugby Union (TRU) for the past 13 years.
 

The newly merged team – the Yeomen Lions RFC – will play in the ORU in the upcoming 2010 season. Both teams have a proven track record of success and are looking forward to a successful season together.
